Summer Train Rides - East Troy Railroad Museum

Take a journey back over 100 years along the 7-mile East Troy Electric Railroad! Ride one of over 15 operating historic electric trolley cars along rails dating to 1907 between East Troy and Mukwonago, Wisconsin! Board at either the East Troy Depot (2002 Church Street, East Troy) or at The Elegant Farmer Station (1545 Main Street, Mukwonago). Hop on the train and the conductor will punch your ticket and tell stories as the motorman operates the restored trolley down the rails! Tickets are day passes good on all trains all day long! Ride to your heart's content!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Trains departing East Troy briefly stop at The Elegant Farmer before continuing further to Lower Phantom Lake in Mukwonago. It is your choice whether to shop at The Elegant Farmer or to ride further to the lake. Not all trains cross Highway ES into Indianhead Park, just past the lake. In Mukwonago the train crew will turn the train around before heading back west to The Elegant Farmer.

We recommend starting your ride at the East Troy Depot, where there are free restrooms and museum displays. If starting at The Elegant Farmer, ride the train to the East Troy Depot and purchase or secure paper tickets before making the return trip.

Continue the fun into September and October with our popular Harvest Fest trains.
