Born from the rich mariachi tradition of Guadalajara and Mexico City, this young, virtuosic band from Chicago has become a leading voice for a new bicultural generation in the U.S. Since their 2017 debut album Nuestra Herencia topped Latin streaming charts and earned a Latin GRAMMY® nomination, they’ve released five chart-topping albums, toured across North America, and earned acclaim for their fresh, dynamic sound. Their 2022 album Herederos received a 2023 Latin GRAMMY® nomination for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album. Composed of 14 musicians ages 18–32, Mariachi Herencia de México embodies the past, present, and future of mariachi live on stage.
“Mariachi Herencia de México brings mariachi music to the charts, while staying true to their Mexican roots.” – Billboard
“Mariachi Herencia de México takes mariachi music to whole new heights.” – The Chicago Sun-Times
