Harbor Fest

Join Harbor District, Inc. on October 7, 2017, from 11 am – 4 pm (Rain or Shine) outside the School of Freshwater Sciences (600 E. Greenfield Ave.) at the East end of Greenfield Ave for the first Harbor Fest!

One of our goals is to help turn the waterfront in the District into a public amenity. We hope that event introduces you to the Inner Harbor and that you fall in love with this forgotten piece of Milwaukee.
The day will have something for everyone! Below is a list of some of the activities:
-a boat parade in partnership with Milwaukee Riverkeeper and Milwaukee Kayak Company,
-bike tours led by Wisconsin Bike Fed
– painting classes with The Farmhouse Paint and Sip – Bar & Cafe,
– Harbor District Tree Survey with Milwaukee Public Museum and Carmen High School of Technology and Science
-fishing demonstrations/lessons led by Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources,
-Demonstrations with Screaming Tuna Sushi & Asian Bistro,
-Hands on activities led by University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences graduate students,
-tours of the UWM research vessel, Neeskay
-a shipping container bar provided by Containers Up,
-live music, local food, and other local vendors
-and much more…
