Located in King Park, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center serves Milwaukee's near west side, offering a wide variety fitness, recreation and programming opportunities to area residents. An annual membership or a day pass is required for entry to the facility.
We offer live and interactive online classes of chess, piano, Rubik's Cube, guitar, mathematics, abacus, public speaking, creative writing, yoga, Python programming, Scratch coding, physics, chemistry, and language classes (Spanish, German, French)

Milwaukee Recreation also offers a wide selection of affordable enrichment classes for youth, teens, adults, and seniors at our community centers in the summer, fall, winter, and spring. If you live in the city of Milwaukee and receive any state or federal assistance like WI Shares or SNAP, your children are eligible to receive a scholarship to pay for most classes in the Milwaukee Recreation Guide.

The After School Arts Program (ASAP) provides arts education to elementary, middle and high school students. The program provides the fundamentals of art techniques, themes, and concepts in visual arts, dance, music and theatre.
